PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Our main goal at Southern Oregon Stand Down is to help
the homeless, disadvantaged and needy Veterans that are often forgotten
about today. We wish to improve their lives through established
programs from the local community, county, state and federal agencies.
These programs are designed to
help those Veterans “Come Home” again. Through these programs, we
provide the services to help these Veterans become responsible,
productive members of our society once again.
The 2012 Southern Oregon Stand
Down will provide Veterans, spouses and their children with the hope
that they can rebuild their lives today and for tomorrow. We hope that
this experience will help renew their health, finances and spirit.
As a combat Veteran myself, I
have a special place in my heart for the homeless Veterans and their
troubles. I have made a long-term commitment to helping them in any way
I can.
These Veterans need our help and
support throughout the year. Please join with me to show them that we
really do care and that we truly appreciate their military service to
our country.
